"What is digital transformation? Why is trust and cyber security so important on this journey? What do the last year events mean for trusting digital services? How do we work to ensure people trust technology?" These are some of the questions Kristine Beitland will address in her Paranoia 2018 talk.

"Technology is disrupting everything, everywhere! Today, we stand at the beginning of a new era of technology-so profound that it could be the dawn of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. That is because there is a convergence of Cloud, Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), that’s revolutionizing how we can transform data into insights and intelligent action. Inside the technology industry, it’s easy to see incredible opportunities. But outside “Silicon Valley”, it’s possible to wonder if we’re headed toward a darker future. A future in which automation drives millions of people out of the workforce, income inequality, and public safety and personal privacy are permanently undermined. What is digital transformation? Why is trust and cyber security so important on this journey? What do the last year events mean for trusting digital services? How does Microsoft work to ensure people trust technology?”
